vigilius mountain resort | Exclusive eco-friendly boutique hotel in South Tyrol at 1,500 m

Arrival | At Its Essence
No road leads here.
Only by cable car do you reach, at 1,500 meters, a place of stillness.
Above Lana , the vigilius mountain resort is nestled into the alpine landscape. A boutique hotel with views of the Dolomites, shaped by calm, clarity, and restraint.
Architecture, sustainability, and cuisine are closely intertwined here. Everything is reduced to the essentials and follows the rhythm of the place itself. In this way, space is created for a conscious arrival and for a stay defined by simplicity and quality.

Eco, not ego I The principle of the vigilius
Alongside care and respect, a mountain hotel in South Tyrol is shaped by a clear concept — one that offers orientation and lends substance to every decision.
Guided by the principle “Eco, not ego,” owners Ulrich Ladurner and architect Matteo Thun conceived and realized the vigilius mountain resort.
Nature is not a backdrop here, but the point of departure. Architecture, design, and atmosphere consciously allow exterior and interior to flow into one another. On the Vigiljoch, this creates a place that preserves a sense of origin while offering contemporary comfort — consistently sustainable in its thinking, internationally recognized through EarthCheck certification and awarded with the Michelin Key.
Aquiléia Spa I For body and mind
Water is the source of all life — and at the Aquiléia Spa the starting point for regeneration and renewed energy. Across 1,200 m², an exclusive wellness area unfolds, bringing body and mind into balance. Pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, and a modern fitness room offer space for both relaxation and movement.
The experience is complemented by yoga and Pilates sessions, guided forest bathing, and walks in the surrounding nature. Restorative massages and nurturing beauty treatments for face and body are created in exclusive partnership with Team Dr. Joseph.
Here, recovery emerges from the interplay of stillness, movement, and the alpine landscape.

Restaurant 1500 I Culinary
At Restaurant 1500, a clear, contemporary cuisine takes center stage. Under the direction of Daniel Sanin and his kitchen team, a culinary approach emerges that is rooted in regional and seasonal products, reduced to the essentials and shaped by craftsmanship and care. Quality and origin define the flavor — not its presentation.
The menu follows the rhythm of the seasons and evolves accordingly. Views of the surrounding mountain landscape accompany every meal, creating a calm setting for mindful enjoyment.
Restaurant 1500 is also open to external guests, by reservation only.
