CABLE CAR SCHEDULE

By plane
The nearest airport is Bozen/Bolzano airport (30 minutes from the resort), with daily scheduled flights from London via Rome with Alitalia (www.alitalia.com). We will gladly arrange a taxi transfer from the Bozen/Bolzano airport to the cable car station Lana, which takes about 20 minutes.

Moreover there are offered a few low-fare flights to Milan, Verona or Venice, from where we can arrange a taxi transfer as well.
International flights take you to Verona or Innsbruck. From there it is approx. a two hours drive to the vigilius. On request we will arrange a taxi transfer to the cable car station Lana.

By train
By train it is most convenient to travel to Bolzano/Bozen. From there we gladly pick you up by taxi for a small fee. Or you may take a local train to Burgstall/Lana and from there per taxi to the cable car station.

By car via the Brenner Pass
Take the Brenner highway A22 to Bolzano, exit Bolzano Sud, then follow the freeway 38 Merano-Bolzano via Merano. At the exit Merano Sud turn left to Lana, Ulten/Ultimo valley. At the rotary take the second turn and continue toward Lana and Ulten/Ultimo valley. After passing an Esso petrol station on your right, turn right toward the Ulten/Ultimo valley, you can now see the cable car station Lana-Vigiljoch 100 m ahead on your right.

By car via the Reschen Pass
Coming from the Reschenpass follow the local highway 40 through the beautiful Vinschgau/Venosta Valley until merging into the freeway 38 Merano-Bolzano near Forst (just outside of Merano). Continue until exiting at Merano Sud and then turn right toward Lana, Ulten/Ultimo valley. At the rotary take the second turn and continue toward Lana and Ulten/Ultimo valley. After passing an Esso petrol station on your right, turn right toward the Ulten/Ultimo valley, you can now see the cable car station Lana-Vigiljoch 100 m ahead on your right.

By car via the Jaufen Pass
From Sterzing/Vipiteno, located just behind the Brenner Pass, follow the local highway 44 up and over the Jaufenpass and continue on through the pristine Passeier/Passiria valley. Continue past the turnoff to Dorf Tirol/Tirolo toward the periphery of Merano/Maia alta. Shortly after the first houses turn left into the St. Georgen street, follow it until reaching the Virgil street, which you follow to the right until reaching the Brunnenplatz. From there follow the Scena Street in the direction of Bolzano. You pass the gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff and follow the signage in the direction of Lana, Ulten/Ultimo valley. After passing an Esso petrol station on your right, turn right toward the Ulten/Ultimo valley, you can now see the cable car station Lana-Vigiljoch 100 m ahead on your right.

By car coming from Verona
Take the Brenner highway A22 to Bolzano, exit Bolzano Sud, then follow the freeway 38 Merano-Bolzano via Merano. At the exit Merano Sud turn left to Lana, Ulten/Ultimo valley. By car coming from Zurich
In Zurich take the A3 toward St. Gallen and shortly before Bad Ragaz change to the A13 toward St. Margarethen. You enter Austria near Nendeln and continue via Feldkirch and the Arlbergtunnel on to Landeck. From there over the Reschenpass and follow the local highway 40 through the beautiful Vinschgau/Venosta valley until merging into the freeway 38 Merano-Bolzano near Forst (just outside of Merano). Continue until exiting at Merano Sud and then turn right toward Lana, Ulten/Ultimo valley. At the rotary take the second turn and continue toward Lana and Ulten/Ultimo valley.
