EarthCheck SilverCertified 2019

In 2019, the vigilius mountain resort has once again been awarded the SilverCertified status by EarthCheck.

Thus, the vigilius is part of a unique and worldwide group of sustainable tourism businesses, which have all been awarded under the internationally known EarthCheck company standards.

Our planet provides us with so many wonderful treasures; the vigilius mountain resort in its dreamy location especially knows to appreciate this. The tourism sector has a considerable impact on our environment and our resort is conscious of this. Vigilius strives each year to make a positive contribution with the desire to exist in harmony with nature.

For instance, in 2018, compared to the previous year, we reduced our energy consumption by 15.75% per night. Greenhouse emissions were also minimized by 24.79% and waste by 47.16% per night.

We are incredibly happy and proud of this achievement, especially since we have stressed the importance of sustainability from the beginning and managed to build on our initial success as Italy’s first KlimaHotel A. In future, we will strive to further contribute to the protection of nature and continue to develop our sustainability practices.
