Open days
26.04.2016 - 27.04.2016
The vigilius mountain resort opened its doors to the young generation on April 26th and 27th. These students from local Schools and Universities had the opportunity to talk and be informed about topics like sustainability and professionalism.
With a very diverse program, the innovative resort conveyed the structure and working methods of the resort to the 150 invited students. These were the main topics for the two days dedicated to the education of those who strive to work within the tourism industry. The program also meant to point out the importance of creating a living ecosystem together with partners, and to guarantee constant success.
The meeting opened up with an introduction made by Petershagen Communication in Cologne, where Stephanie Reeb explained the new concept of “simply: be”, that is now used by the vigilius mountain resort for communication. Further, the different characteristics that make a structure like the vigilius mountain resort eco sustainable and that gave the resort the coveted recognition of Climate House A, were presented. The main target was to emphasize that Hotels of the future can coexist with the environment and optimize costs and management.
Moreover Andreas Tschurtschenthaler, Senior PR Content Manager of IDM (special marketing agency that acts on behalf of the Province of South Tyrol and the Bozen-Bolzano Chamber of Commerce) and Susanne Meinl from Berlin, working for Design Hotels AG since 16 years, explored the topic of creative and development cooperations.
A special place had the topic of Food and Beverage, where two different encounters with the title “Research meets agriculture” and “Street food = stress food? Some don’t agree” were prepared. Nutrition, future trends and the importance of raw materials are just a few topics that Lex Barreveld, Sales Manager Food Service of Dr. Schär, Harald Gasser, organic farmer in Barbian, near Lana spoke about.
This educational event reflected the philosophy of the resort, which is always underlining the importance of the future, not only the future of our environment, but also the future of the new generation.
