Stube ida
Cosy and traditional, Stube ida brings the region’s history and memories of the past into the hotel. The quaint, 100-year-old tiled stove which used to warm up the old mountain hotel on cheerful winter evenings bears witness to it all. The kitchen likewise picks up on cherished South Tyrolean culinary traditions: it presents meaty down-to-earth cooking with a successful twist on the lightness of modern South Tyrolean cuisine.
In the afternoon, the ida team also serves up wonderful homemade cakes, coffee and one or two glasses of Vernatsch wine on the sunny terrace with a stunning view over the Dolomites.
“Please do come in” also applies to the single-day guests visiting the Monte San Vigilio/Vigiljoch recreational area for nature lovers on the weekend, summer and winter alike. Rumor has it that the occasional one or two people have missed the last cable car down to the valley while socialising at Stube ida. We take that as a compliment.
