It tastes best if it comes from the region. That sounds simple and yet it is anything but a matter of course to create culinary highlights from regional flavours so that every element can reveal its very own personality in a dish: pure, unadulterated, natural and authentic.
The ingredients in our gourmet cuisine are clear and honest – fresh wild herbs from Monte San Vigilio/Vigiljoch, or the local potatoes that have a special flavour and have a festival celebrated in their honour every year. Most of the products that the team at the indulgent hotel uses come from farmers and suppliers in the region. The chef at vigilius mountain resort values this greatly: “The personal contact and regular visits to the farms and fields are very important to me. Seeing the cattle and cabbages grow is not only the perfect quality control, it also grows trust through cooperation as well as a shared motivation to get the very best out of a product. “
