Winter Hiking
In winter, it is also possible to explore the idyllic landscape of the car-free Vigiljoch. Right outside the doors of the vigilius, a winter paradise opens up with extensive trails for every taste. Relaxed walking or hiking tours through the snow-covered forests with breathtaking panoramic views await you.
Discover here the hiking trails which are also passable in winter.
Snowshoeing
Trudging through deep snow, being active and enjoying the unique beauty of the winter landscape is possible on a hike with snowshoes. You are welcome to borrow snowshoes and poles free of charge from us at vigilius.
The Skiing Experience on the Vigiljoch
The nostalgic chairlift, which starts right next to the vigilius, takes you leisurely to the small but beautiful skiing area on the Vigiljoch with its total of 5 kilometers of slopes.
Once known as the epitome of the alpine ski scene, numerous renowned ski races were held here and fabulous fun races adorned the full calendar of events. Today, it has become quieter but more comfortable. Far from the hustle and bustle of skiing and après-ski, relaxed, natural skiing is assured here. The sunny slopes to the Jocher, Seehof and also the racecourse show themselves ideal for pleasure skiers and children.
For the use of the lifts at the Vigiljoch there are no additional costs for you as a vigilius guest.
The vigilius has a ski depot room where you are welcome to store your ski equipment.
The Vigiljoch Ski School also offers private lessons and ski accompaniment for adults and children.
Reservation at: +39 331 2929035 or skischule.vigiljoch@remove-this.gmail.com
Please note, the ski slopes are only open when there is enough natural snow.
Ice Skating
Under good conditions, the surface of the Schwarze Lacke (The Black Lake) is frozen over in winter and is therefore wonderfully suitable for ice skating (from December to February). The Schwarze Lacke can be reached in about 1.5 hours from vigilius or in 20 minutes from the top station of the chair lift and can be wonderfully combined with a circular hike. Skates can be rented according to availability at the Gasthof Seespitz, which is located directly at the Schwarze Lacke.
